Who are you?
We're a very small team that loves playing outside with our imaginary pet owl, Chicken. Jen Gurecki is our founder, Andrea Slusarski is our Creative Director, and Kelly Valyou is our right-hand woman.
We're the ones responding to every email, shipping every box and responding to DMs, so please be kind. We are grateful to be able to do this work and we will always try to do our best to help you.
Andrea Slusarski is our Creative Director and a professor of art. Much of what is featured on this website is original art, that may or may not be available for sale. Get to know her here and contact us to enquire about any of her artwork.
Yes, we're that weird, that fun, and that creative. Since it's illegal to adopt an owl as a pet in the United States, our only option was to use our imaginations, obvs. We now have the most perfect, loving, adorable pet burrowing owl named Chicken, who joins us on all of our adventures, snores in the nook of our necks, wears rainbow knitted leggings, and has a girlfriend named Hairy who lives in Mammoth.

Please send us a link to your website/wholesale catalog, as well as a detailed message about why you would like to work with us. As a small shop, we look for partners who uphold our vision and values, produce small batch goods, and who offer simple and fair terms. Please note that due to the nature of our small team, we may not be able to respond to all inquiries.
If you're a brand or a business that would like to bring your community together through a creative, nature-based retreat or experience, we'd love to work with you.
If you're an individual who would like us to design a bespoke experience and/or trip, we also welcome the opportunity to create something wildly special and spectacular for you.
Slu is not only a professor of art, but a working artist, and Jen has 20+ years of organizing trips and events. Our teamwork makes the dream work. Reach out to us to chat more.
GROUP TRAVEL & RETREATS
When we price a trip, we factor in the actual costs of accommodation (midrange, comfortable, and double occupancy), transport (reliable and trustworthy), meals (filling and nutritious), activities (lift tickets, guides, supplies), and our time to manage all of the logistics, planning, prep, and facilitation.
We don't aim to be luxury, nor are we backpackers waking up hungover in bunk beds in a hostel, either. We take great care in our itineraries, which we've developed over decades of experience facilitating slow travel and high adventure trips.
Our trips are an investment, and they are also an incredible value for what we offer (particularly when you compare them to what other tour companies).
Payment plans are available, and we offer a 10% discount on repeat bookings.
Because you pay what you get for. We have decades of experience organizing and facilitating group travel. We are fully insured, follow risk management protocols and procedures, assess the skills and preferences of our guests and make necessary accommodations, and take your experience very seriously.
AI & ADA Policies
In a perfect world, AI would wash our dishes and we'd have more time to create art. But since that's not a thing, here's how we use AI: to check our writing for grammar and spelling mistakes, as well as clarity; to summarize meeting notes (because chemo fog mushy menopause brain is a thing); to help with research. We do not use AI to generate images, graphics, artwork, or raw copy. We use it sparingly and only when necessary. We have real therapists and better things to do with our time than "vibe code."
We aim to provide clear and honest descriptions of each of our trips, tours, and retreats so that you can understand whether they can accommodate your individual needs. We will do our best to accommodate all disabilities, and we welcome your feedback and requests. Please reach out to us to learn more.
